Planning assistant
Turns "a 300-seat office with heavy video calling" into a requirement profile and an access point count.
What does the planning assistant do?
It reads a plain-language brief — the type of space, how many people, what they do — and produces a requirement profile: the minimum signal strength to design to, the user density, and an estimated access point count, which it can hand straight to the auto planner as a target.
How does it estimate the access point count?
From the capacity model: users divided by the design load per access point for the chosen density, with planning headroom applied, then floored by the coverage the floor needs. See capacity for the numbers.
Common questions
Does the assistant place the access points itself?
No. It sets the targets and hands them to the auto planner, which does the placement. That way the placement stays checkable against a stated requirement.
